Banya is the ideal place for people who love to swim and want to restore or improve their health through what is said to be the best all around exercise for the body. The dangers of chlorinated water are coming to light more and more each day and scientist know that chlorinated water increases your risk of cancer, skin problems, lung and allergy diseases. You absorb 6 to 100 times more chlorine in a shower than you do by drinking the same water! Can you imagine how much chlorine your body absorbs while taking a swim in a chlorinated pool? In a ten minute shower, your body can absorb more chlorine than if you drank eight glasses of that same water. In Banya, you not only swim in mineral water from the depths of the earth but you shower in this same wonderful life giving liquid. And it's warm and silky, unlike regular swimming pools or the seaside.
There are three mineral water pools in Banya. The largest is a double size olympic pool with a water slide. The second pool in the same complex is for children and also has a water slide. The third pool is the sports pool and it is 75 feet long and 4.5 feet deep. The water in the larger pool is changed every second day and in the sports pool it is changed daily.
